Lights Finish Second; Make Another Run at the Cup

By Robert Speciale
Las Vegas, NV

For the second time in three seasons, The Northern Lights have a shot at glory in the playoffs as the club survived a tough season ending loss and a complicated 4-way tie only to finish second and vie for the Cup once again.
The Lights hit the rink on Monday, November 17th at 7:45PM. Their opponent will be the winner of a one game playoff between the Decepticons and That One Team; (which is being played to determine the 4th seed of the playoffs).
The Lights are a combined 4-0 versus those two teams this season and have destiny in their own hands when it comes to making it to the big dance or not.
All stats and such will be updated after the playoffs on Monday. Come on down on Monday and root for your Northern Lights!!!!!

Lights Look to Booze it up on Monday

By Rob Speciale
Las Vegas, NV
The Northern Lights look to solidify their playoff chances on Monday night as they face the Boozehounds in a huge matchup. The Lights are 2-1 lifetime vs. the Hounds, with 14 goals scored and 11 against. In their last meeting the Boozehounds won 7-2, however, this game was one where most of the Lights squad didn't attend. I tend to think that a full Northern Lights lineup will be much more competitive in this game.
The Lights are currently in sole possession of 3rd place, while the Boozehounds are in sixth, but are only a game behind the Lights.

Anaheim, CA
By Rob Speciale

The Northern Lights have to regroup from their 6-0 loss against the Rivermen by winning their first "must win" game of the season against That One Team on Monday the 27th of October. In their previous meeting, the Lights were victorious 8-7 in a wild back and forth match. Potentially returning for this game is Northern Lights Hall of Famer, J.P.

Lights Bounce Back Vs. Decepticons

By Rob Speciale
Las Vegas, NV
The Northern Lights bounced back to win a gritty 6-5 contest over the Decepticons to move back to a .500 record. The game was highlighted by a lot of quick passing, nice shots on goal and just a great up tempo vibe. Shawn Hogan and Eddy Phillips combined for 4 goals and 2 assists, while Wojo had another brilliant end to end game, netting a goal and assisting on a beautiful 3-1 opportunity.
The Lights hit the rink again on Monday Oct. 20th, at 8PM versus the Rink Rats, (formerly the Locks).
